Cost-effective. Flexible. Just for you. What, when and where you choose. If you have a number of people needing the same information then in-house training could be the way for you.

There are three approaches. You can choose to have standard or ready-made courses from our public range run unchanged. You can have them tailored to meet your exact needs. Or you can specify bespoke training, even if you don’t see anything similar on our public range.

Our workshops are in-depth, hands-on and interactive, so they work best with smaller groups. We would recommend a maximum of 12 people. To stretch your budget, we can always handle larger numbers but, inevitably, some interactivity will be lost.

Ready-made courses

You can have any of our open courses delivered for your team on your premises. This is not only really cost-effective, but also gives you a wonderful opportunity for some team building.

Tailored courses

Alternatively, you can choose one of our open courses and we will tailor it specifically to your organisation’s needs. This offers you the chance to explore issues specific to your organisation and your team.

Bespoke courses

We can also design entirely bespoke training, even when it appears to fall outside our normal range. Between them, our tutors have a huge variety of skills and experience. We can develop programmes or single workshops specifically to your brief. For example, you might be planning:

  • Team building or leadership events;
  • Training or coaching in management communication skills, such as how to give feedback or manage appraisals;
  • Workshops on skills in related disciplines – such as customer care, brand building or e-marketing; or
  • An entire structured programme of professional development for the whole department.

However unusual your needs, check with us first. Even if you seek, say, Media Interview coaching delivered in Swahili, just ask your account manager. (We did that – twice.) If you don’t have an account manager, or don’t know who yours is, just contact us. Account managers take over the sourcing of your needs. You will be quite busy enough handling your end of things.

In-house fees

Ready-made courses: you pay for the delivery of the course.

Tailored and bespoke courses: these have two sets of costs – the time spent on development and the cost of delivery. These are quoted separately so that, should you decide to run your course several times, you only pay the development cost once.

Either way, you also pay the tutor’s out-of-pocket expenses – at cost and with no administrative mark-up.

We believe all our training offers an excellent return on investment. We are happy to discuss how you can measure that.

Managing your costs

There are several ways to make your money go further.

When you commission a series of courses, you get a volume discount. And this is a corporate discount. That means it applies to your whole organisation for twelve months. So, if you book more training within the year, even just one person on one public course, you still get that corporate discount. That can really help if one new team member needs to be brought up to speed.

Secondly, some organisations choose to join together to commission training. We have, for example, delivered in-house courses to groups of councils or health trusts. These days more than ever, each penny in your budget has to work as hard as possible.
